Abstracts:

The Visual Arts represent specific spiritual and material activities of people, a special kind of understanding and communication between people, which creates a connection between the individual and the social, the material and the spiritual, and transfers the knowledge and experience of mankind in a special way. The ennobling power of art greatly contributes to the integration of an individual in reference to cultural and social trends of the time and space in which she/he lives. Therefore, the role of art, together with its valuable holdings of artistic and aesthetic value, has important significance in the education of children and youth. Communication with works of art allows students to gain an aesthetic experience and develop aesthetic awareness through the richness and diversity of visual art facilities. It helps students to acquire a visual language, to cultivate sensitivity to visual messages and enriches their spirit. The contact between students and original works of art or high quality reproductions of paintings, sculptures, graphic or architectural works, even at the early school age, should present an excellent base for the proper development of visual aesthetic experience and for raising the level of art appreciation.
